BREAKING THE ICE: If you could do anything for God this year with no limits or logistics, what would it be and why?

DIGGING IN: Read the following passage from Ephesians 3:20-21 and then discuss common limitations we put on God or ourselves:

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

1. Is there a limitation you discussed that affects you more often? What is it and how has it held you back either in the past or now?

2. When Bob Goff shared on Sunday, what was one “take away” you want to remember? Why does that resonate with you? Explain.   

3. Often we struggle with stepping into something unfamiliar or unknown. Read about Peter stepping out of a boat in a storm, from Matthew 14:22–33. Why do you think God wanted that story in the Bible, and what do you think He’s wanting to say to you through it?

BRINGING IT HOME: Find some “quiet time” during this week to allow God to stir up your sacred imagination. Not everything that comes to mind will have your name on it, but God often works when we get still. Don’t miss this upcoming Sunday as we put more practical steps to that.
