We meet every week on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30PM. Youth from 6th — 12th grade are welcomed.

What to Expect at New Life Youth
We host services designed to get students into community and into God’s word. Check out the flow of a typical Wednesday night below!

To ensure a safe and monitored environment, all students begin the night by checking in and receiving a name tag. This process ensures each student is accounted for and that necessary information has been collected.

Once checked in, students and leaders enjoy free time to have fun and connect! We have volleyball, basketball, Spikeball, foosball, Ping-Pong, and more!

Around 7:15, our service begins in the main sanctuary. We begin our service by giving God praise through a balance of energetic and reflective songs. Students and leaders then gather around tables to listen to the speaker unpack the week’s topic through a Bible passage.

To finish out the night, students break out into small groups based on grade and gender in rooms across the church. This is a time for students to go deep. Small Group Leaders check in on students’ lives, get to know them on a personal level, and offer biblically backed advice.
Meet the Youth Pastor
Hi! My name is Nick Bettencourt, and I have the joy of leading this youth group alongside my wife, Sasha! Sasha and I both attended Stanley Middle School and Acalanes High School before graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. We also grew up attending New Life Youth as students! Crazy right? I love pastoring students in the same area where I grew up because it gives me a first-hand understanding of the challenges and pressures that students are facing. In fact, all of us, not just students, are in a unique moment of culture. Change is happening at a pace so fast that stability feels like a luxury we can’t afford and friendships have become so shallow that to be truly known feels like something from a fairy tale.
My hope as a pastor, is to introduce and lead students to a God who is steady, unchanging, and so intimate. I don’t want students to just know about God; I want them to experience Him personally.
