LIVING UNDISTRACTED
“Undistracted In Your Purpose”
Pastor Doug Heisel – June 29, 2025
Romans 11:33-36 – Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?” Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
The ultimate purpose of your life is to know CHRIST and to celebrate and reflect HIS GLORY!
Practical steps to walking out your ultimate purpose:
1. Live with a ridiculous amount of GRACE and GRATITUDE, not letting a hint of BITTERNESS or ENVY drive your days.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 12:15 – See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
Proverbs 14:30 – A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.
2. Be faithful in doing SMALL things well.
I Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Matthew 25:21 – His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
3. LEVERAGE more of something you already possess so it accomplishes MORE for the Kingdom of God.
Acts 4:32 – All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own…
John 6:9 – “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”
God has given me all the TIME, POWER, and RESOURCES to do all He planned for me to do, as I put Him first.
4. Don’t settle for EASY or aim for COMFORT. God wants to do MIRACLES through you if you will follow His PROMPTINGS and step out in FAITH.
Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Jesus makes it clear that His purpose is not just what He does FOR me, but also what He wants to do THROUGH me.
